I have the honour of serving in the most disciplined fighting force in the world, the United States Marine Corps. An artillery scout/observer by trade and having served once in Iraq already, it gets a bit lonely being stationed in one area that is so geographically isolated from the rest of the world. It's hard to find a woman who will put up with me leaving for deployments for several months at a time, not to mention not even being in the continental U.S. for all but a week or two out of the year...
